DIY Legal Courses

Welcome to DIY Legal Courses, an interactive educational website where you can educate and empower yourself to take control of your life and legal issue with the help of a licensed attorney.* On this website you will currently find two courses which includes a DIY credit repair course and DIY debt collection response course complete with sample court documents, letters and explanations on how to use them.

In this day and age of technology and the internet most information can be discovered and learned online. There has been a shift in the way consumers do business and as the world evolves so must legal services.

With the availability of the internet and information, many consumers are seeking to research their own legal issues and are simply looking for a resource to help explain the law and the nuts and bolts of what exactly needs to be prepared or filed in a particular legal matter. This is where DIY Legal Courses can help.

When you purchase a DIY Legal course an attorney will explain to you in simple, plain English what federal rules apply in your case, what they mean, what your rights are and how to use the law to your advantage. Additionally, sample legal forms and letters will be provided to you which include an explanation from an attorney on how to use them. You can even book time with a lawyer to go over your situation in more detail if you get stuck.

A DIY legal course will save you legal fees if you are willing to put in the time to represent yourself. If your budget is an issue, you have the time to represent yourself and are looking to gain skills that will save you money over a lifetime, then the legal courses provided here are great options. There is an old saying that if you give a man a fish you can feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he can feed his family for a lifetime. If you invest in a DIY legal course you are investing in yourself by gaining a skill that will save you money over your lifetime and preparing you for similar legal issues that may arise in the future so that you won’t have to pay a lawyer to remedy the problem.

So What is This “DIY Legal” Course Anyway?

If you are researching your own legal issue but still have questions, then you probably understand and appreciate that you need some legal assistance. You recognize that the legal forms you find online may or may not fit your legal needs. But at the end of the day, you can’t afford to hire an attorney (or don’t want to hire an attorney) to handle this stuff for you and you just aren’t sure where to turn.

Enter DIY Legal Courses

After working with consumers for nearly a decade, I’ve gained some understanding of what you, the legal consumer, want.

You want a legal solution that is easy to understand and implement, straightforward, and affordable.

You want information you can trust, legal templates that will be affective in court and in practice, and a guiding voice to show you the way when you get tripped up.

With DIY Legal Courses, you’ll get the best of both worlds. You’ll gain access to some solid general information about the legal aspects of the law, combined with some practical and easy-to-understand step-by-step tutorials that will walk you through everything you need to do.

And to top it all off, you will receive all of the legal letters, forms and templates that I use in my practice just as if you hired a lawyer to do it for you, but at a fraction of the cost.

And the best part?

All of this information will be easily accessible by you in a membership portal that you can access anytime, day or night, from the comfort of your own home or coffee shop, or office…. whatever works for you.

But what about the cost? Lawyers are so expensive.

You’re right. Lawyers are expensive.

I totally get it.

I’ve been practicing law for nearly a decade and one of the biggest fears my clients have is cost. I hear over and over “How much money is all this going to cost me?”

You’ve heard the horror stories from family, friends or colleagues about having to pay large retainers and unaffordable hourly rates. Chances are you have never hired a lawyer before and you want to make sure your lawyer isn’t billing you for things you don’t actually need or understand.

Am I right so far?

That’s why I decided to create DIY legal courses for the average consumer

You get 99% of the benefits of hiring a lawyer, without that confusing hourly rate and large retainer.

How is this possible? How can DIY Legal Courses keep fees so low?

With DIY Legal Courses, we can teach you to fish, show you where the great fishing areas are, maybe even give you the design for a great fishing pole. But, and here is what separates us from hiring an actual lawyer, we don’t do the actual fishing for you. We just teach you how to fish.

In other words, we can give you lots of great legal information, including templates, tutorials, etc., but we can’t give you legal advice. As soon as we do that, we become your lawyer and that’s where the fees start to shoot up.

Make sense?

By providing an online legal product in this way, we can reach more consumers, do more good, help to get you informed, and keep your legal expenses down.

It’s a win-win-win for everyone involved.

Currently available in the course dashboard you can find a courses on how to repair your credit and how to respond to a debt collection lawsuit. Additional courses will be added as they become available.

How Much Time is This Going to Take Me?

You have three choices when it comes to resolving your legal issue.

  • First, you can hire a lawyer to help you. But as we already know, lawyers are expensive and perhaps you just don’t have the cash to make that kind of investment right now.
  • Second, you can wing it and just try and figure this all out on your own. This is probably the most expensive option, because there is a good chance you will miss something, use the wrong form, or not understand the legal rules and process altogether. At that point you will have wasted a significant amount of time and your issue is still not resolved.
  • Finally, you can use a hybrid approach like DIY legal courses. These courses are fantastic for consumers that are short on time because you will have lifetime access to the materials and templates. That means you can jump in and out whenever you have the time. Just log in when you have a spare minute and learn what you need to know.

Will You Be Able to Answer All My Legal Questions?

We will be able to answer your general questions if you book an advice session with a lawyer. These sessions will be limited to the discussion of Federal Laws or the laws of Washington or Colorado.

There is a difference between providing legal information and giving legal advice. In this course we are giving you all the legal information and templates you need to assist you in your situation.

To give you legal advice, we would need to act as your lawyer – which means getting to know you and your legal situation. Asking you a bunch of questions. Having a lengthy conversation about your personal situation and what you want to accomplish. Then we can give you legal advice.

Can You Review My Documents after I Prepare Them?

Not as part of course, unfortunately but if you schedule an advice session with a lawyer that is a possibility.

The whole idea behind this course is to empower YOU with the legal knowledge you need to protect your online business.
